Oregon Master Gardeners have worked with the OSU Extension Service since 1976 to serve the educational and informational needs of home gardeners around the state. The Multnomah County Chapter of Master Gardeners was organized in 1985 and is a non-profit organization independent of OSU that supports the Extension Master Gardening Program with funding. It is one of many county-level chapters of the statewide Oregon Master Gardener Association.
