MCMGA Garden Legacy Fund

 

One of the greatest gifts you can give is creating or adding to an endowed fund. Endowed giving is an investment that makes a lasting impact for years to come. Oregon State has over 2,000 endowed funds supporting scholarships, faculty, and programs.

The Multnomah County Master Gardener Association was lucky enough to have a donor establish an endowment to benefit the Chapter. This fund is named the “MCMGA Garden Legacy Fund.”

How does the endowed fund work? With a minimum gift of $50,000 you can create a permanent endowed fund. Each year, a portion of the fund’s balance (currently 4%) is transferred to support the designated OSU program. The core of the fund remains invested for long-term growth. This allows for a long-term funding model that can grow over time.
