Our annual Greens Gathering goes online as fellow Multnomah Chapter, OSU Master Gardener, Evie Hausman inspires us during the dark winter months to bring greens inside to brighten our days. Evie will discuss using conifer and broadleaf evergreens, how to choose, cut and condition the greens. She will also discuss using flowers, berries, etc. She will make a centerpiece and show how the same design can be changed and used for other decorations. She will also demonstrate how to use wire to make clusters of evergreens to create swags and wreaths. Pre-register at this link: https://beav.es/oKe
Evie Hausman is a native Ohioan, and was very active at Ohio’s Innswood Metro Garden, where she chaired the Cutting Garden, organized floral displays, and taught flower arranging classes. In 2010, Evie and her husband, Bill, moved to Portland. A year later, Evie and her daughter, Corrie, became OSU Master Gardeners; they really enjoy being part of Portland’s gardening community.
